First, everything was very nice and all of Sharon's siblings made it. Everyone arrived safely. Sharon's nephew, Taylor, announced that he had signed to play football for Northwestern (Orange City) next year.
It was decided to eat first before opening presents. Of course, there was a lot of food.
Sharon's mom wanted a picture of everyone. First, they took a picture of the siblings, then with spouses, and then the nephews that were present. No nieces present at this time (one in DC and one in CA).
Then presents were opened. A few pictures from the opening. The rest are in our Kodak gallery page.
Then, of course, the Vander Ploeg family tradition: home-made ice cream. It was a nice day.
On Monday, we headed to Des Moines, and you know the rest of the story.
