Vikings are playing so thought I'd write a little bit while listening. Met some new people in the campground this past week. Makes us realize how lucky and blessed we truly are. When you meet people who are living in their camper because that's all they have, well, it does make you thankful for what you do have. Met 3 couples who were looking for work. One had lost their house and two were in bankruptcy. Listening to them and with the earthquake in Haiti, it does make you feel very thankful and blessed.
O.k. moving on. It's so quiet right now. O.k. the tv is on and Sharon's watching football but no rain or wind hitting the camper. The noise was truly getting on my nerves. Glad it's done. Friday night watched the Bourne trilogy. Forgot how much the movies can make me jump. Love the car chase scenes. Saturday did some laundry. Trying a few new recipes this week in the crockpot. Today we're trying Asian Tomato Beef. Tomorrow will be Cheese Tortellini and Sausage soup. Even though in the 70's this next week, crockpot meals still are great. We're thinking of heading to LBJ ranch on Tuesday or Wednesday. Our friends, Dana and Flo, are leaving on Wednesday to head down to Corpus. They're meeting up with some friends and looking for some new scenery.
Nice, quiet Sunday afternoon. Trying to determine if we're going to make ice cream or walk on down to the lodge later this afternoon for ice cream sundaes. If we make it, it'll have to be peach. Haven't made ice cream yet in Sharon's new Christmas toy.
