Sunday afternoon

It's been cloudy the last couple of days. At least it's warm. Have had a little rain off and on today. It's rained about 5 minutes each time. We could see 80 degrees before the week is over.

Had a nice surprise this week. There's a search a word contest in each monthly newsletter. If you get it all right and turn it in at the office, your name goes into a drawing. If drawn you win $10 in quarters. I won. Didn't even know I entered the contest. Sharon completes the contest and always turns it in. Didn't know she put my name on it. I'll take it. That's worth 4 laundry loads.

The last couple of days the farmer has been discing the field next to us. He's going to plant alfalfa this spring. Since he's disced you can see all the way back to the fence row. Our neighbors saw a wild hog this morning. It looks so wide open. It's been so much fun not having the snow this year.

Friday night we went to the lodge for supper. Had baked potatoes. You had your choice of chili or bbq brisquet and you add your other toppings (cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, butter). Ice cream for dessert.

This morning we went down for breakfast. All you can eat pancakes with bacon or sausage.

The roads around here have been like pot hole city. Sometimes you think you could get lost in one. The owners contracted them to be fixed last October. Well, can you believe it, they showed up yesterday and started working on them. Some are much better but they still have a long way to go.

We're hoping the RV place calls this week. Would really like to have our big TV back. For the last couple of days have scanned in about 400 more pictures. Brought back some really good memories and reminded us of some old friends. Located a couple on facebook this afternoon. Hopefully, they'll want to be my friend. :)

Most of the pictures this last time were of Sharon's family. Have almost finished another box. Still have a couple of bags and a bin under the table, yet. The company that makes the photo scanner also makes a slide scanner. We'll probaby get that. Much better for us to put the slides on a memory card rather than a dvd. Can watch on the digital photo frame.
