Busy Saturday

Seems like we had a busy week. Yesterday we went to my cousin Marty's for his spring party. Didn't know it was his birthday - invite said JS Bach's birthday. Should have known. He had chili with all the fixins. I must say his "hot" chili - adverstised as fiery - was very close to being correct. His barbershop group was there and we were serenaded, also. Very nice time.

Marty with Rick & Cheryl. Went to Ren Fair with them.

Marty. His wife Linda has her back to the camera.

Also, my cousin Jim and his wife, Donna were there. Had a very nice visit with them.

We stopped in at Becky's surprise party, here at the campground. Becky & Corey work on weekends cooking and serving the meals. Corey is in the military as a medical instructor. That's what I remember - along the lines of an EMT. He and Becky are originally from Grand Forks, ND. Their families are still there. There are health issues with both their parents so he will be stationed there in a few months. Becky's going ahead of him to get some things ready. He'll be following in a couple of months.

All of this and we still didn't miss UNI upsetting Kansas. Great day, wasn't it. Should be a quiet day today. Will probably try a couple of new recipes and take a break for ice cream sundaes this pm. It's starting to warm up again. Got a little cold last night. The furnace ran. Hasn't done that in a few weeks.
