A very relaxing day

O.k. so didn't relax until work was done but what a great afternoon and evening. Got done with cooking and cleaning up the campground kitchen by 10:30 this am. Did I mention that I (Sandy) have to get up at 6:00am to be to work by 7. Of course, the alarm wakes up Sharon and once she's awake - she's awake. But, I'm not sure that she doesn't take a nap during the morning - ha ha.

Today, we opened the windows for awhile but just got too hot. It was up to 83 at one time. So, of course, the air came on. I read most of the afternoon - finished the book, too. Sharon had football on all day. Loved how the Pack killed the Vikes. Then came the Colts and Pats game, of course watched the ending of a few others. And now, the SNF game is on.

Had a nice easy dinner. Leftovers. Baked a couple of potatoes and had beef stroganoff over them. Some applesauce that Sharon made a couple of days ago. Yes, life is good.

Here's a picture of our "home" at this campground. We actually get 2 sites.

Been planning Thanksgiving dinner and the Friday night meal. The park provides the turkeys and it's a potluck. I'm taking pecan pie, a salad and sweet potato casserole. Others are doing the stuffing and potatoes/gravy. And a few have signed up for a vegetable casserole. Sue, a co-worker, will be making homemade rolls.

Friday night, we're just having a soup and salad buffet. Yep, you guessed it - I got the cook's job. It's been different and a little more work. Have been nervous that everyone will like it so far. So far, so good. Hopefully, it will get a little more fun and won't be so nerve wracking.

Have been working on the Christmas calendar. Found a few "old" pictures that seem to appear on the calendar. Just hope it turns out o.k.
