First Saturday in Texas

Well, we made it. Left Iowa Monday morning and arrived here (just south of San Antonio) on Wednesday. Let me tell you, we weren't ready for the heat and humidity. Felt like we were back in Iowa in August. Couldn't believe it. Record heat and humidity for the day we arrived. It didn't help that we knew it was cooler in Iowa. Nope. Just way too hot! Still trying to adjust to the heat but it's much better the last couple of days.

Patricia and Dave took us out to the Rusty Duck on Thursday before we left. Had one great steak! Check out a couple of pictures.


Don't have pictures yet of us in the campground here. Maybe next time. Guess we just don't want to go out in the heat this pm.

Sharon's watching Iowa stomp all over Michigan State. O.K. so it's the first half. Hopefully the second half will go as well.

Started our new job Friday night. No comments yet. So far so good but want to give it a couple more weeks. It was nice seeing old friends again. Going to a Halloween party tomorrow night.

Nothing unusual at the moment. Made it safely here and everything is going well so far.
